Make every day a good hair day
When it comes to hair, the grass always seems to be greener on the other side. Women with sleek, poker straight hair often lust over thick, bouncy curls whilst the women with tumbling waves pine for glossy, smooth locks. Fortunately, with our hair care tips, you can get the hairstyle you've always dreamed of.
Healthy, hydrated hair
We've already explored the many benefits of coconut oil, but coconut oil is particularly great to give hair a much needed boost of moisture. Heat coconut oil on a stove until it melts slightly, and then apply it to the hair as an intensive hair mask. Apply the mask with a small paintbrush starting from the ends and working your way up to the roots. When your hair is completely covered, pin it to the crown of our head for 20 minutes before rinsing thoroughly with warm water. Your hair will be noticeably healthier and hydrated.
Fighting frizz
Taming frizz can seem like a never-ending battle. Fortunately, there are a few things you can do to minimise frizz. Frizz is generally caused by the hair being overly dry from a number of factors such as damage caused by excess heat. Using hair oil like VO5's Hot Oil Give Me Moisture will counteract any damage to the hair and restore moisture. This will smooth the hair follicles and leave you with frizz-free hair. For best results, we recommend using hot oil once every weak in order to give your hair a sufficient chance to heal and replenish its moisture levels.
Battling brassiness
Blondes might have more fun, but not when it comes to maintaining their hair colour. If your blonde hues come from a bottle then there's a good chance that you've experienced the nightmare of brassy tones. A Touch of Silver is the best product for blondes that want to remove any brassiness from their hair. With a violet pigment, Touch of Silver actively neutralises brassiness and treats other factors such as dullness, yellowing and fading. The result? Bright, vibrant and dazzling shine! Who doesn't want that?
Pumping up the volume
There's nothing more glamorous than big, voluptuous hair with plenty of movement. To achieve big hair, you need to put in a little bit of work. Start by washing your hair with a volumising shampoo; add a little bit of conditioner to the ends in order to ensure that your hair is nourished before applying any heat. Before drying your hair, tip your head upside down and apply some volumising moose to the underneath of the hair. The key is to keep any styling products away from the root so that it doesn't weigh the hair down. Finish off by blow-drying your hair with a round brush and using large barrel curling tongs to add definition and curls where needed.
