To treat allergic conditions such as hayfever, rashes or hives or to prevent travel sickness.
Also to treat adults with difficulty sleeping (insomnia)
Dosages: Children below 2 years: not recommended in any conditions.
In allergic conditions e.g. hayfever rashes or hives.
Children 2-5 years: The use of Phenergan Elixir is recommended in this age group.
Children 5-10 years: A single night time dose of 1 tablet. The total dose must not exceed 1 tablet per day.
Children over 10 years & adults: A single daily dose of one tablet at night increasing to 1 tablet twice daily if necessary.
In travel sickness:
Children 2-5 years: The use of Phenergan Elixir is recommended in this age group.
Children 5-10 years: The use of Phenergan Elixir or Phenergan 10mg tablets is recommended in this age group.
Children over 10 years & adults: One tablets the night before the journey. This may be repeated after 6-8 hours if necessary.
For short term sedation:
Children 2-5 years: The use of Phenergan Elixir is recommended in this age group.
Children 5-10 years: One tablet as a single night time dose.
Children over 10 years and adults: One or two tablets as a single night. Children over 10 years & adults: One or two tablets as a single night time dose.
Each tablet contains 25mg promethazine hydrochloride
